Abstract
We provide a brief critique on the relevance of the quantum critical phenomenon notion for our understanding of the anomalous insulating and conducting states of cuprates. In particular, we focus on Zhang's SO(5) unification idea and the interpretation of the 41 meV neutron resonance as an underlying pseudo goldstone mode.
