Abstract
Linked equations -(piyi')'+qiyi = ∑2j=1 λjrijyi, i = 1, 2, are studied on [0,1] subject to boundary conditions of the form yi(0)cosΑi = (piyi')(0)sinΑi, (aiλi + bi)yi(1) = (ciλi + di)(piyi')(1). Results are given on existence, location, asymptotics and perturbation of the eigenvalues λj and oscillation of the eigenfunctions yi.
