Abstract
A simple analytical method is developed to obtain the time response of second-order non-linear overdamped systems with a small non-linearity based on the Krylov- Bogoliubov method of variation of parameters. The solutions obtained for different initial conditions for a second-order system whose linear equation has real roots show good agreement with those obtained by numerical integration.
