Abstract
This paper presents a novel method of obtaining the entire phase-portrait by the phase-plane δ-method. The inherent difficulty in the existing isocline method due to the presence of quadratic and interacting functions in δand x is eliminated. The use of the phase-plane δdot -method in the x-δ plane for the solution of non-linear systems is suggested. Error analysis shows that the δ dot-method is more accurate than the existing δ-method.
