Abstract
Annulation reaction of lactam acetals 1a and b with primary amides proviaed a facile synthesis of di(1-methylazacycloalkeno)[2,3-b:2′,3′-d]pyridines 6(a–i). Dehydrogenation of 6a,b,d formed dipyrrolo[2,3-b:2′)3′-d]pyridines 7a,b,d.
