Abstract
Calyconotiscus frontofasciatus gen. nov. sp.nov. (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae: Eunotinae) is described from Peninsular India and the new tribe Calyconoticini is erected for it. Reasons for its placement in the Eunotinae are discussed, as well as Eriaporini is included as a tribe of Eunotinae. A key to tribes of Eunotinae is provided. Calyconotiscus frontofasciatus was reared from Contarina sp. (Diptera :Cecidiomyiidae) induced galls on the leaves of Calycopteris floribunda Lam. collected from Kerala, India.
