Abstract

The results of χ, ϱ and calorimetric measurements on Cr + 2 at% Si with 0.1 at% V are reported. This small amount of V turned out to decrease the first-order para-to-commensurate transition from 232 L to 130 K, the sharpness of the transition being preserved. This influence of V closely corresponds to that of high pressure.
