Abstract

The x‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurement as a function of temperature have been done to understand the relation of electronic structure to the magnetic field induced reverse phase transition in magnetic shape memory alloy Ni2Mn1.4Sn0.6. The density of states modify upon martensitic transition. Interestingly, within the martensitic phase at low temperature the electronic structure is found to be same as Austenitic phase.
