Abstract
Ruthenium in its 2+ oxidation state forms a variety of complexes with ethylene-1,2-bisdiphenylarsine (EDA) and anions such as halides and pseudo halides. The spectroscopic (i.r. and visible) and magnetic measurements indicate the pseudo octahedral geometry of the complexes. The carbon monoxide containing complex appears to be binuclear.
