Abstract

The authors study the consistency of a gauge-invariant Stueckelberg-type equation for a massive spin-3/2 particle interacting with external gravitational and electromagnetic fields which they obtain by a Kaluza-Klein dimensional reduction of the massless general-covariant Rarita-Schwinger equation. With certain restrictions on external fields dictated by fermionic gauge invariance, wave propagation is found to be causal.
