Abstract
Crystal structures of three compounds, 2-4, of the title series with a range of hvpogiycemic activity have been solved. A three-dimensional structure - activity correlation proposed for these compounds explains the gradation in their potencies, and the similarity of the profile of the active compounds to that of a sulfonylurea, glibenclamide (5).
