Abstract
This paper deals with the derivation of two canonic all-pass digital filter realizations, first proposed by Mitra and Hirano. In contrast to their derivation, which uses a three-pair approach, our derivation is much simpler because we use a two-pair approach. in which only four, instead of nine parameters have to be chosen.
