Abstract
With nullators and norators, it is possible to synthesize active devices like negative impedance converters, gyrators, negative resistances, etc. A practical circuit is then obtained by replacing a nullator-norator pair by a transistor. Many of the circuits so obtained do not, however, work according to expectation. A situation where a simple gyrator predicted by using nullator-norator model of transistor is not feasible is examined and the reason for the failure is analyzed.
