Abstract
Photometric studies of open clusters carried out by the author have been discussed. Methods for the determination of cluster members, cluster reddening and distance modulus to the cluster have been described. On the basis of UBV photoelectric photometry a catalogue of masses and ages of stars in 12 open clusters have been prepared. Further, this catalogue has been used to study the distribution of stars with mass and age in young open clusters.
