Abstract
We present results of a detailed Monte Carlo calculations of the critical properties of the Ising model on a two dimensional Penrose lattice are presented. The critical exponents, β for the magnetization and γ for the susceptibility, are found to be 0.128 ± 0.007 and 1.8 ± 0.09 respectively, thus suggesting that the system belongs to the same universality class as the crystalline system. The critical temperature of the system, is shown to lie between that for the square and the triangular lattice.
