Abstract
Some analouges of bephenium (1) and tetramisole (2) were prepared for anthelminitic screening. 2-Benzimidazolyl (3), (N-benzyl-8-quinoliniumoxy) ethyl-N-benzyl (4), isoindolinium (5), 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinolinium (6) and 3-azabicylo [3.2.2] nonanium (7) analogues of (1) and tetramisole analouges, 6-(2-benzthiazolyl)-2,3-dihydroimidazo [2,1-b] thiazole (10) and 5-(2-benzthiazolyl)-2,3-dihydrothiazolo [2,1-a] imidazole (12) were synthesised and found to be inactive against N. americanus infection in hamster.
