Abstract

The pressure induced resonances, which have been earlier predicted in four wave mixing, are shown to exist in fluorescence provided the exciting laser is modulated. A general result for fluorescence oscillating at the modulation frequency is obtained. It shows the existence of two types of additional resonances depending on the elastic or inelastic nature of collisions.
