Abstract
The identification of pulsars as rotating neutron stars has led to an increased interest in the structure calculation of neutron stars. It may be said with reasonable confidence that the state of matter in the outer regions of a neutron star is relatively well understood, while our knowledge of the equation of state in the density range upwards of 1015 g cm-3is still far from clear.
