Abstract
The first example of a nonanuclear organostiboxane cage, [(Ph2Sb)2(PhSb)7(μ -O)11(μ 3-O)3(μ -OH)2(μ -cycPO2)2(cycPO2)2(H2O)2]·2CH3CN·H2O, containing Sb(V) has been assembled by a mild hydrolysis and Sb-C bond cleavage reaction of [(Ph3Sb)2(μ -O)(μ -cycPO2)2] (cycPO2 = 1,1,2,3,3-pentamethyltrimethylene phosphinate).
