Abstract
The paper deals with the morphotaxonomic study of 10 species of the lichen genus Catillaria s. lat. from India. Three species Catillaria nilgiriensis, Catillaria obscura and Catillaria versicolor are new to science. Certain taxa reported earlier under Catillaria from India have been excluded from the present study for the reasons given against each.Catillaria metaleptodes (Nyl.) Zahlbr. and Catillaria manipurensis K Singh have respectively been transferred as Buellia metaleptodes (Nyl.) comb. nov. and Protoblastenia manipurensis (K Singh) comb. nov.
