Abstract
The design and development of a truly nano heterogeneous catalyst for the Claisen-Schmidt condensation (CSC) of benz-aldehydes with 2-hydroxyacetophenone to yield substituted chalcones followed by isomerization to afford flavanones with excellent yields and selectivity is described.
