Abstract
In this paper, we apply the Painlevé test to the inhomogeneous deformed Kaup system and establish the Painlevé property. From this test we find that the system admits the generalized Painé property and then, by truncating the Laurent series, the integrability properties like the auto-Backlund transformation, the Lax pairs with time dependent spectral parameter, are obtained.
