Abstract
The lucerne weevil, Hypera postica( Gyllenhal) (Hyperinae: Curculionidae: Coleoptera) is a serious pest of the fodder crops'lucerne' (Medicago sativa L.) and 'senji' (Melilotus alba), besides other crops reported elsewhere( Subba Rao al, et. 1964). A systematic survey and collection of the various stages in growth and development of this weevil pest on lucerne crops was made in the Indian Union, with a view to collecting the natural enemies.
