Abstract

I show that contrary to the conventional wisdom, the 3P1-3P0 and 3P2-3P1 splittings of the bb̅ system could be as large as 55 and 39 MeV respectively. In such a case, there is a good chance of detecting these states via the E1 transitions γ'→13PJ+γ→γ+2γ as the problem of resolving the different χ-states should not be very formidable.
