Abstract
Results of a detailed Raman study on a quasi-one-dimensional conductor, viz (TaSe4)2I below and above the charge-density-wave (CDW) phase transition temperature of 263 K are reported. The damping constant of the CDW-related transverse-optic phonon near 195 cm-1 increases significantly as the temperature is increased.
