Abstract
A search for deuterium line-absorption at 327MHz towards Sgr A was made for a total of 105hr. This has yielded an upper limit of 2.7×10-4 for the deuterium to hydrogen abundance ratio in the intervening medium. This upper limit lies within the range reported by Pasachoff & Cesarsky.
