Abstract
"Crossed" products were not isolated when a mixture of to o-aroloxyacetoarones was transformed in the same solution by the Baker-Venkataraman method into o-hydroxydiaroyl-methanes. The absence of these products indicates that the reaction is intra- and not inter molecular.
