Abstract

The 360 MHz 1H spectrum and 67.8 MHz 13C spectrum of dipalmitoyl lecithin have been analysed by computer simulation to obtain the various 1H-1H and 1H-13C coupling constants in the glycerol moiety. The results indicate a dynamic equilibrium between several conformations in the glycerol group. Population analysis using the 1H-1H coupling constants has been carried out.
