Abstract
The functional stability of the messenger RNA for ribosomal proteins has been investigated by radioimmunoprecipitation with antisera prepared against ribosomal proteins. Ribosomal protein mRNA has been shown to decay with a half-life comparable to total cellular mRNA. The possible significance of these results has been discussed.
