Abstract

Fluorosulphuric acid gives highly conducting solutions in alcohols and alcoholic mixtures. Solutions in methanol or in ethylene glycol-methanol give the best results for the direct titration of organic bases, although other alcohols are also satisfactory. Potontioimetric and visual methods of end-point detection are suitable.
