Abstract

Simultaneous, multifrequency VLA observations, obtained on December 30, 1984, of the cores of 18 possible GHz peaked spectrum (PS) sources are presented and analyzed. The positions of the sources, flux densities and spectral indices of the cores, the fractional polarization and polarization position angle of the cores, bandwidth depolarization of the sources, and Faraday rotation measurements for the sources are calculated and studied. It is determined that 15 of the sources are true GHzPS sources with spectral peaks between 0.8-6 GHz and the other three are variable.
