Abstract
The sound speed and density profiles inside the sun, inferred from helioseismic inversion are employed to constrain the temperature and composition profiles in the solar core. The standard thermal transport and energy generation equations governing stellar structure are adopted to find that the central temperature of the sun is (15.7±0.4)×106K.
