Abstract
Weanling rats fed a rice diet deficient in lysine and threonine for three days showed a significant decrease in liver total lipids and triglycerides; the incorporation of acetates was significantly reduced in liver triglycerides. Short term feeding of the deficient diet appeared to affect the metabolism of liver triglycerides and cholesterol but not the phospholipids.
