Abstract
The problem of oscillations of a semi-infinite elastic solid by a smooth rigid circular disk on the free surface, performing small oscillations normal to its plane, without loosing contact with the surface of the solid has been considered. The method of solution consists in introducing Hankel transforms and reduction to dual integral equations which have been solved by Tranter's method.
