Abstract
The construction and analysis of a class of supplemented block designs which are partially efficiency balanced (Puri and Nigam, 1976) have been discussed. The orthogonally supplemented balanced designs (Calinski, 1971) are found to be a particular case of such designs. The designs are easy to construct and can be analysed with great ease. These designs are useful for plant breeding trials and are similar to augmented designs (Federer, 1961; Federer and Raghavarao, 1975).
