Abstract
In this paper we demonstrate how various hypotheses of interest about the intercept parameter in one-sample, two-sample and several-sample linear regressions could be tested by simple adaptations of familiar nonparametric procedures, when an experimenter has the liberty to choose the values of the independent variable. Asymptotic Relative Efficiencies of the proposed procedures are discussed
