Abstract
The characteristics of daytime equatorial ionospheric scintillations of ATS-6 multifrequency RBE transmissions recorded at Trivandrum have been studied. It is found that they are strongly associated with equatorial sporadic E as seen on ionograms. Comparison with VHF backscatter from electrojet irregularities showed a strong association with Type II irregularities.
