Abstract
A new band system in the region 6400-5100A has been obtained by exciting stannic bromide vapor in the presence of argon with an uncondensed transformer discharge. The spectrum was photographed on the first order of the grating spectrograph. Isotopic shifts due to tin and bromine were observed for some of the bands. The vibrational constants derived from the analysis of this system are ωe' = 164.1 cm−1 , ωe'' = 247.28 cm−1 ω'e χe=0.9 cm−1 , ωe' χe'' = 0.48 cm−1
