Abstract
Reinvestigation of the stem-bark of Pongamia glabra, has given besides the known flavones kanugin and desmethoxy kanugin, a new chromenoflavone pongachromene whose structure has been arrived at as shown in III from spectral and degradative experiments. It has also been confirmed by synthesis.
