Abstract

Don't worry about bandgap. Reversible electrical bistability in a monolayer of different nanoparticles, such as CdS, CdSe, PbS, and PbSe leads to memory phenomenon in single nanoparticles. Electrical bistability and memory applications are studied in semiconducting nanoparticles of different bandgaps (see image). The results show that over a wide bandgap range there is little or no change in the parameters for either phenomenon.
