Abstract
The solution techniques to the free-vibration problems associated with cyclic symmetric structures with generalized loading are discussed. Three distinct approaches to solve the problem are explained. The three approaches and their variations are compared with respect to core and time required. Guidelines are given for designers to select suitable methods, keeping in mind industrial problems, the core available in a PC and ease of organization of the program.
