Abstract

Nature of reverse micelles in the water/Triton-X/cyclohexane system was investigated using dynamic light scattering (DLS) technique. Considerable variation in the size (5-18 nm) and polydispersity (0.02-0.26) of the reverse micelles is observed in the region corresponding to stable reverse micelles. The optimal composition led to reverse micelles of 8 nm size and a very low polydispersity of 0.02.
