Abstract
It is proposed that the leading Regge trajectory on which qiq¯ j mesons (i,j=u,d,s,c...) lie satisfies the equation αij(t)=a+α ij'(t-b) with (αij')2=α ii'α jj'. The latter is justified with use of the factorization property of Regge poles. J/ψ -like states associated with still heavier quarks are predicted to be not narrow if their mass exceeds 5.6 GeV.
