Abstract

Computation of several thermodynamic quantities has been carried out for a gaseous mixture of solar photospheric chemical composition containing hydrogen in five states-H2+, H2, H, H, and H+-helium and sixteen other elements in multiple ionization states and with radiation effects included. The discrepancy on various thermodynamic quantities of the neglect of H2+ and H, of metals and of radiation pressure has been estimated.
