Abstract
A metric containing a parameter ε (ε2=1) has been obtained which represents a Kerr metric in the background of a static Einstein universe when ε is put equal to +1. The same metric will represent the external field of a mass embedded in a rotating Gödel universe when ε is set equal to -1.
