Abstract
A study of various effects such as geometry and material property variation, elastic restraints and elastic foundation, and shear deformation on the buckling characteristics of circular plates is presented in this paper. A finite element formulation is employed for the purpose and numerical results, along with a discussion on each of the above effects, are presented. The results are expected to be useful for design engineers.
