Abstract
The two lower transitions occuring in ferroelectric BaTiO3 have been investigated using Mossbauer effect for Sn119. The normalized area under resonance and percentage absorption show minima at the two transition temperatures supporting Cochran's suggestion that these two phase transitions are caused by lattice instabilities.
