Abstract
The complete geometry and operation of a simple miniature furnace designed for heating the sample up to 1000° C for Mössbauer spectroscopy are reported. Cooling coils over the entire body of the furnace protect the source and counter from heating. Maintenance of constant temperature (±1° C) for several hours, temperature uniformity (±1° C) across the sample, and flexible use of vacuum, ambient, or inert atmosphere constitute the special features.
