Abstract
A stable, single grain of quasicrystalline Al6CuLi3 alloy, was subjected to X-ray diffraction experiments. The quasicrystalline nature of the grain is established from the X-ray diffraction photographs taken along the 5−, 3− and 2−fold axes. The attempts to index the reflections in the conventional crystallographic way are not very successful.
