Abstract
The basic zinc finger template is formed in a single step from PNHCys[ S-CH,2NHAc ] HisOMe and zinc chloride by a tandem complexation deprotection sequence. Template (1̲ ) is formed, in a single step, with an overall yield of 10% from l-cysteine, from PNHCys [ SCH2NHAc ] HisOMe[ P=Z, E=COOMe ] and ZnCl2 by a tandem complexation deprotection sequence.
